Advertising Business Consultancy (ABC-Ayr) was started in 1996 by advertising ‘guru’ Alex Knox with a team of 2, the business was responsible for managing some high profile accounts including The Bed Shed and South Ayrshire Council. In late 2001 ABC-Ayr was awarded agency recognition which led to rapid business growth. The decision to become a limited company followed, together with the name change to Advertisingworks Scotland Ltd now known as Adworks.
Meet The Team
Daniel joined Adworks in 1999 and being a designer at heart he also assists in the creative and web studio.
He is married with 3 children and enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.
Creative and web
After working for many years as a designer in the newspaper and print industry, Fiona joined Adworks in 2002.
Fiona is married with a son and daughter, enjoys life and provides endless taxi services for her children.
Cally joined the company in 2015 after working with the Buzzworks Group of companies. She co-ordinates our social media posts and campaigns.
After working with Alex in the newspaper industry, Sue joined him in 1996 to assist with accounts and advertising in the agency.
She is married with 2 sons and a granddaughter and enjoys socialising.
Sales and Client Manager
Tony joined Adworks in 2012 as an account manager having had a background in design, newspaper advertising sales and print.
He is married with two grown up children and after many years still plays guitar badly.
From an accounting background Kate joined the company in 2007 as a media buyer. She has become our online specialist. Kate is married with a grown up family along with 6 grandchildren and 2 dogs to keep her busy outside work.
Scott’s potential as a designer was first spotted by Alex in 1989 at a local newspaper and he rejoined Alex at Adworks in 2007.
He enjoys dining out especially whilst holidaying in France.
Kirstin came to Adworks on a 4 week work placement from university and 10 years later is still here in a media planning and buying role.
When not working she enjoys catching up with friends and going to the gym.
