On April 21st 2015 Google updated it’s code to boost the rankings of mobile-friendly website designs that are legible and usable on mobile devices – in mobile search results worldwide. This means that pages designed for only large screens may see a significant decrease in rankings in mobile search results. In 2014 according to comScore, mobile search queries (phone and tablet) were roughly 60 percent of total search volume.
